Written by Charlie on April 17, 2008
housecleaning We all suffer from the blues every now and then. This is a normal phase that we all go through. Just because you feel sad or depressed from time to time does not mean that you are clinically depressed and that you need to go see a psychologist or psychiatrist. In fact, when you are feeling a bit blue, you can do some things to make yourself feel better! I think that we are all familiar with these methods - I am sure that you have your own “best cures” for the blues. Some people like to eat chocolate (or some other type of comfort food). I love ice cream! Other people go shopping. Still, other people would go on a trip. Yet did you know that a short period of physical activity can help beat minor blues away? ...

Loose The “Chap”

Written by Charlie on April 2, 2008
chapped lips Have you ever experienced trying to smile only to be cut short because your lips hurt? Well, I’ve been suffering from extremely chapped lips lately – why exactly, I don’t know. What I do know is that it is irritating and sometimes painful. I’ve tried everything from Chapstik to Nivea Lip Moisturizer seem to do the trick. I am currently using petroleum jelly but my lips go back to being chapped after a while. This led me to do some research on this matter – let me share them with you. I think the tips from Mayo Clinic make a lot of sense: • Use an oil-based lubricating cream, such as Aquaphor Healing Ointment, or lip balm containing petrolatum or beeswax. • Apply lip cream, balm or lipstick before going out in cold, dry weather. Reapply several times while outside. • Choose a ...

Written by Charlie on March 23, 2008
massage I had a blast on Friday and Saturday with my family as we got together for Easter. It was not a traditional celebration, though, as we decided to go around the city this year. There were many sights that some of the children have not seen and we thought that us adults could do with revisiting them as well. Saturday, some of us decided to go shopping and ended up spending almost 10 hours at the mall. As you can imagine, I was dead on my feet by the time I got home. Lucky for me, there is this home massage service available in my area. As I lay there enjoying the kneading motions on my back, I was again reminded of why love massages so much. Personally, I appreciate how a massage can relax and melt away the ...
