Folic Acid and the Brain

I am sure all of you have had some experience with absent mindedness.  Whether it be yourself who has suffered from this condition or another member of the family or a friend, absent mindedness has probably been part of your life at least once.  This is a common occurrence in people reaching the half century mark. What can you do to prevent or improve such a condition?  A recent study shows that folic acid may be the key.  The study’s results show that people who took high doses of folic acid for three years showed marked improvement in mental functions.  Such functions are Short-term memory, mental agility and verbal fluency. Time Management Issues and Commitment

When one first decides to get back on the health track, everything seems so positive and one feels so optimistic about being able to do it. The excitement is palpable, you make a plan and you intend to follow it to the dot. Yet as time goes by, other things crop up, other priorities get in the way. I am no exception to this, shall we say, phenomenon. I suppose it is part of life. At a certain point, you just seem unable to sort through the muddle of daily life. When I first visited my trainer weeks ago, I was brimming with enthusiasm. We decided on settling for at least twice a week of workout sessions.
