You know the drill – each time the New Year comes around, we make our own resolutions to try and have a better life for the next 365 days. My question is, have you made your health resolutions for 2007? To be honest, I haven’t really sat down and thought hard about mine. Yet what better time to do this than now?
One important thing to do in order to evaluate and monitor your health is to know your numbers. What do I mean by that? The word numbers should give you a general idea. Check your weight, your blood sugar levels, cholesterol, and the important figures that you need to know. To help you out with this, pay your doctor a visit. It won’t hurt you!
I’ve never been one to eat a good breakfast, but all that I’ve heard and read point to the same thing – breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So this year, even if I do not really have time for it, I am going to try and have breakfast everyday. There are many options for people like me who do not have time for the traditional breakfast that of course takes a lot of time to prepare. How about trying to have bagels or whole wheat bread with cheese and tomatoes? Or cereals with fruit?
These are just two of the things that I will work on for this year. In the next post, I shall talk about the other things on my mind. In the meantime, why don’t you think about YOUR health resolutions?
