The other day I talked about 2 things to consider to have a healthier ahead. So I have been thinking of others, and here they are for you to read and think about as well.
I don’t know about you but I am an avid coffee drinker. Let’s just say that it is the first thing I take in the morning and I go through the day with a cup in my hand. I do realize, however, that drinking too much coffee is not exactly good for the health. So, one of my resolutions for this year is to lessen my coffee intake. Of course, it is easier said than done. To have an alternative, I drink tea during the day instead. Try Tazo, which Starbucks sells. Twinings tea is also great.
I also evaluated the kind of food that I eat everyday. For the most part, I usually prepare meat – pork, beef, and chicken. I do eat vegetables but mainly potatoes, broccoli, and beans – and not in large quantities at that. So, for this year, I will focus on getting more fiber. Studies show that eating more fiber makes you full faster and longer. As such, you don’t eat as much! So let’s stock up on cereals, fruits, and vegetable rich in fiber!
Last, but not the least, take a look into how fast you eat. I learned to eat quickly because of the time constraints at work. Yet it is common knowledge that eating too fast increases the tendency to eat more. My goal this year is to eat more slowly and lessen my food intake in this manner.
