You have likely heard that the foods that you eat can have a huge effect on your overall health. This is why people are always saying you should eat healthy, get plenty of vegetables, and stop eating fast food. What you eat isn’t the only thing that is important though, it’s also how much you eat.

Watch portions because too much of anything can be bad to some extent. Some vegetables are great in moderation, but things like peas have a high natural sugar content and may not be good in large quantities for people diagnosed with diabetes.

Making your own meals at home is a great way to promote healthy eating. Don’t just buy boxes or bags of food though. Take time to make things from scratch so that you know what is in them.
